Karisma Kapoor Recalls Salman Khan’s Effortless Charm and 90s Swag Through Contestant Prathamesh’s Performance on India’s Best Dancer Season 5

15th July 2026,MUMBAI: The judges panel of India’s Best Dancer Season 5 gave a standing ovation to contestant Prathamesh for his power-packed performance on Salman Khan’s legendary track ‘Oh Oh Jaane Jaana’ from the movie Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. The act, which beautifully brought back the effortless swag of the 90s through a spectacular ‘India wala Dance’ that completely blew everyone away, leading Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor to run onto the stage to shower her praise.

Reminiscing about her time working with Salman Khan and the grueling schedules behind the original track’s shoot, Karisma became overwhelmed by saying, “Honestly I’m feeling very emotional right now kyunki yeh Salman ka gaana hain. And I remember jab yeh gaana release hua tha, we were doing many shifts those days aur woh kaafi thake hue the. Aur usne kaise, kitne ease mein yeh gaana kiya tha. Woh swag hota hain, woh style hota hain aur Salman Khan ka style aap teeno ne laya yahan iss manch pe. I’m really, really feeling overwhelmed, kyunki, there is no one like Salman Khan in that song.”_

While the entire trio act earned tremendous praise, it was contestant Prathamesh who completely stole the spotlight for Karisma. Finding shades of Salman’s magnetic charm and ease in him, she made a direct comparison to the superstar as she felt he really matched the aura of the superstar and he really rocked the stage with his performance.
